March 12, 2019 – Bautzen, Germany – The Kickstarter campaign for the new tea makers, the amapodo teapot and the tea glass, has started today. Functional, handmade and above all sustainable – for home or office. amapodo’s new product had already attracted a great deal of attention in the run-up to the launch. Interested parties can now support the campaign and be the first to secure one of the coveted products.

Since 2015, a small, tea-mad team in Bautzen has been working on the next “big thing” in the field of sustainable tea products. After having successfully launched around twenty different home and office tea systems onto the market, the next exciting idea matured around two years ago: a teapot and a tea glass with integrated tea strainer and lid, which, thanks to its innovative design, puts the complex preparation of a good tea in everyone’s hands.

The modern and sustainable design, the mouth-blown production from a family-run glass factory and the individual, laser-engraved bamboo grain make each piece unique. Sustainable for amapodo means the complete renunciation of plastic and the use of natural, durable and recyclable materials such as borosilicate glass, stainless steel and bamboo.

Professional tea enjoyment without previous knowledge

The balloon-like glass shape and the cylindrical tea strainer create optimum conditions for water circulation and guarantee fully aromatic tea infusions – without requiring expert knowledge from the user. The underlying principle: the tea strainer and bamboo lid are designed to fit teapots and tea glasses. In addition, the bamboo lid has an integrated storage facility for the tea strainer. The spout of the teapot allows precise pouring without dripping and the fine micro openings on the tea strainer prevent even the smallest tea particles in the tea.

The Kickstarter tea glass is available in a limited edition from 26 €, the teapot from 29 €. Sets of several products can be purchased from 59 €. The current production planning envisages a period between April and May 2019 until the first delivery.
